The 115' Benetti motor yacht Camarina Royale sank 30 miles south of Guana Cay, Bahamas on January 31, 2016. The yacht was enroute to Fort Lauderdale from the Virgin Islands. The captain reports that a fire started in the engine room and could not be contained forcing the crew to evacuate the yacht.

The crew were picked up by a tanker ship in the area and later transferred by the US Coast Guard. The crew has arrived safe and sound in Fort Lauderdale.
